A while ago, I told my friend that my parents had an arranged marriage. She said, "Wow... really? Do they still like each other and everything?" I was pretty mad. MLID.

I would ask the same thing. I mean growing up with your cousin and knowing them as your cousin to find out you get married? yuck.

I agree with bungibabe. and besides, not all religions permit that...(ex. im christian and thats just not how things work for uss..) @thefunnestDesi: you're quiet the inconsiderate one.. @leshia: White people just assume that arranged marriages never work out and people only stay in the relationship because its' an obligation..they don't believe that love can be formed....I've been asked similar things by my friends, my parents had an arranged marriage and have been together for 16 years...every relationship has its' ups and downs, but having an arranged marriage was the only way things worked back then and in that way, my parents were prepared for anything to come out of the relationshipp.
