you are wrong. we don't HAVE to marry our cousins. we have strict rules about who we CAN marry. Anw its much better than some other parts of India, typically South India where they marry their maternal uncle.

Actually South Indians don't marry their unlces... They might have, like 70 years ago, but it doesn't happen.

#3 you are wrong too. In south india they definitely do not marry one's uncle. Maybe many centuries ago that was okay but in south india they do not do that.

okay children calm down. yes, it is something that happens in DESI culture SOMETIMES overall. i mean you can't deny the fact that it's present and happening...my neighbors are married & cousins, and sometimes when people are sorta..desperate (for lack of a better word) for marriage, they look towards family.

Haha PrincessCinderella's post is the best...pshh, why marry "outsiders" when you can inbreed within your family? Don't stop at cousins, go for your brother, it's all gooood...you'll feel much more at home...

i'm sindhi sikh, bungibabe, so i can speak from a neutral point of view. it's gross how you justify cousins marrying cousins, just because cousin are not brothers/sisters doesn't mean the child is going to be inbred foo. and LOL at brownbatman. firstly, your MLID posts are pretty mediocre as far as i'm concerned. secondly, how do you know whoever posted this is hindu/indian? LOL damn assumptions. seriously now... we're KIDS. can we PLEASE get past the hatred already? face it, india, pakistan, and bangladesh are all better off with peace for God's sake.

#22..^^ Umm I don't see anything wrong with gay marriage. I'm not gay or anything, but I stand up for them. I reaally don't get how it's disgusting! I think people should really be able to be with the person they love no matter what their sex is. I mean it doesn't hurt anybody when a male and female get married so what's the difference with gay marriage? As for the cousin flirting thing, maybe s/he was just joking around or something. My uncle and aunt are cousins and they got married and they're pretty normal to me. I also totally agree with #10, but the marrying uncle thing is downright disgusting. Eww.

#24, homosexuality is NOT against nature's "order", or "unnatural" or whatever you want to call it, there are over 1500 different species of life forms that engage in homosexual behavior, so there's no reason to expect humans not to do the same.

^ yes, it is...so what...there r more than 1500 species that engage in cannibalism...u think there's no reason 4 humans not 2 do the same?

cannibalism can either be a) a cultural thing ( which might seem wrong because that is how humans have been conditioned to believe lately :Philosophy 101, if we have been brought up to believe that eating your neighbors is wrong then we're obviously going to look at them as being intellectually, mentally and physically below our level) : Applies mostly to humans b) a means of survival ( you can't really blame someone or something for eating others, if there's nothing else around to eat), that's the way it goes, survive or die. :applies to humans and other species My point being is it's all a part of nature's way of enabling a specific species to ensure it's survival. With the millions (possibly billions) of other species in existence, it is only a minor fraction that engages in sexual/survivalist cannibalism. Now if you're among the group that believe that an all knowing being created life, then he/she/it wouldn't create life forms that carry out such acts, but he/she/it did it anyways. Similarly the same applies to homosexuality, there are more than 6 and a half billion of us infesting this planet, so in accordance with what I've stated above, it wouldn't make sense not to have some individuals who believe and engage in cannibalism or homosexuality ( not that I'm comparing the two). Interpretation of religious texts is not the same as observing the actual stuff going on in the world around you. Then again, that is just my opinion.
