Today while watching an Indian movie I realized that the desi aspects of life don't apply to bollywood stars because everything they do in the movies is perfectly acceptable. MLID.

actually the desi aspects of life in US and Canada are from the time your mom and dad came to US/Canada/Aus/UK , Indian society is very different from the perception your parents have and the movies reflect what the society is right now!

Am I the only one who finds Bollywood movies ridiculous? I've only ever seen two that I like.

I totally agree with you #2. I found that so ridiculous. All of them are about LOVE, like literally every single one. Though they are some which actually have a good moral to the story like Taare Zameen Par and some others. The rest of the lovey dovey ones are just rubbish.
