Today, I saw an ad for a website/hotline which educates young indians about issues revolving around sex such as std's pregancies and aids. I wondered why it was so targeted. Then I realised my parents never mentioned sex to me my whole life. MLID

very true im in 8th grade and they didnt kno that i knew what sex was until a week ago when the read my health papers

It's because of the stupid Western culture that is affecting India nowadays. It is occurring mostly in Mumbai, and it's just so annoying to see those Confused Americanized Desis (CADs) trying to act all "American". It's OK if India follows the west in terms of developing cities and the infrastructure of the nation, but by following Western culture, our whole nation is going to be destroyed. In fact, Westerners look at India for being a nation full of a deep historical culture, and people a re slowly destroying this. It must be stopped, but unfortunately, it's not possible.

^ India has one of the highest rates of AIDS in the world and 2nd largest population. AIDS, STDs and pregnancy is a HUGE problem there and the average person there is uneducated about this. Stop promoting ignorance as a good thing.

@ButterAndJam: I agree with you that he/she shouldn't promote ignorance, but you should most definitely CHECK your facts before stating something like that.
